YANKEES SWEEP RED SOX

In a fairy tale run, the Yankees finished off the game against the Red Sox in a dramatic adventurous fashion last night, registering fourth victory in a row thereby proving this new found form is more than just a lucky streak going on since the last month.

On Sunday night, when Johnny Damon and Mark Teixeira went off in fascinating home runs one after another, the new Yankee Stadium lived up with cheer and sound from the crowd. Fireworks decorated the sky, exploding the silence like its October already.

The win’s even more special as the Yankees are pulling off the types of matches they were losing earlier to the same opponents, when they were down by 8-0 in early second quarter of the year. But the turnaround shows the talent and nerve they kept, which was evident in the last match.

The Yankees, who were already 5-2 leading by the 8th innings against Red Sox, riding on the strength of their pinch hitters, Alex Rodriguez, Damon and Teixeria, who were able to turn around fastballs from lead Red Sox bowlers into good runs.

Andy Pettitte commented after the match, “Our club’s getting special right now.”
